Acoustic Sunset Concert Series brings Music and Mountain Views to Hiawassee
Local talent and singer songwriter, Wyatt Espalin is getting it started! He has been amazing in coordinating this effort to the joy of everyone in our community!
There’s nothing quite like live music under the open sky—especially when it’s set against the stunning backdrop of the North Georgia mountains. Every Thursday evening in May, locals and visitors alike gather at the Hamilton Gardens at Lake Chatuge for the Acoustic Sunset Concert Series, a beloved seasonal tradition co-hosted by Hamilton Gardens and the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, GA.
This free, family-friendly event is the perfect way to wind down the week. Held on the lawn with views overlooking the lake and surrounding peaks, the series showcases a rotating lineup of talented singer-songwriters from around the region. Each week brings a new sound—from folk and Americana to acoustic rock and bluegrass—all performed live in a relaxed, intimate setting.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, and settle in for an unforgettable evening filled with music, community, and natural beauty. While admission is free, donations are gratefully accepted to support the care and preservation of the Rhododendron Gardens, one of the crown jewels of the Hamilton Gardens. As the flowers bloom in brilliant color throughout May, you’ll understand why this venue is so special.
Food trucks include the OH SO FAMOUS and amazing Ice Cream truck!! The chocolate is a MUST… trust me. :)
